3 Workouts by Rachel Doell

Ball-ab workout

It’s so easy to get caught up in what’s trendy or the “new” workout in fitness. For a mom staying at home or juggling work and babies, the idea of trying to keep up with the trends or new studios can be extremely overwhelming.

I’m going to let you in on a secret! You do not need a gym membership, fancy cloths or be up on the trends to feel strong, healthy and the best version of yourself. If you have four walls, 10 minutes a day and can move your body , you are on the road to success!

This workout is one of my favourites because it targets the full body. Place 10 minutes on your timer, get as many rounds in as you can and if you are feeling extra energized. Add another 5 maybe 10 minutes.

Playground Workout

80% of our summer break has been spent at our local skate park and playground. The moment the kids are finished with breakfast we are out the door to start our day. Fitting in a workout during the summer months can be tough because life seems to be moving from one activity to the next.

This workout is one of my favourite playground workouts. Those monkey bars are not as easy as they used to be. 😉

In between handing out snacks, cleaning scraped knees and applying sunscreen 🌞, get your sweat on with this challenging but fun routine.

Trx Leg Workout

I love training with the TRX because you can make your workouts mobile or hook it to a door while your babe is sleeping and get your sweat on.

This leg workout is amazing for training your leg stabilizers  (little muscles) and strengthening  through the core as you balance.

As you perform your movements make sure your knee is tracking over your ankle, core is engaged and weight is in the heel not your toes.

Repeat your circuit 3-4 x with as little rest as possible.
